　　从小失去双亲的玛丽娜18岁了，为了申请奖学金，她必须离开养父母，前往大西洋海岸，从她从未谋面的祖父母处获得签名。新姨妈、叔叔、堂亲，她在众多新家人间周旋，不确定自己是会被接纳还是排斥。这段旅途唤醒了玛丽娜尘封已久的情感，揭开家族往昔的隐秘创伤，她由此拼凑起那些支离破碎、往往矛盾的记忆碎片，试图重现她几乎遗忘的父母身影。

　　在一家珠宝贸易公司工作的肥丁（洪金宝）因是胖仔外加做人老实，常被老板娘周太（梁珊）和其弟（曹查理）骑在头上，重活脏活全要揽下不说，工作稍微出点错就会被骂得狗血淋头。一日，他和在货运部工作的同事阿B（钟镇涛）一起按老板吩咐送钻石给中东酋长，之后将所收钱款送往银行的途中遭劫，周太和其弟不问青红诬告两人与劫匪是同伙。　　越想越来气的肥丁决定绑架周太以泄压抑已久的怒火。在他准备行动之时，周家刚从美国归来的女儿祖儿（王祖贤）正同后母周太发生激烈的争吵，结果阴差阳错祖儿被他绑架，之后又被阿B绑至家中。肥丁在阿B的逼迫下无奈向周家索要赎金，一时笑料百出。
